TWAS 2017 Nomination Form

TWAS Membership Nomination 2017

Deadline for submission: 31 March 2017.

Please read before submitting a nomination!

1. Their contributions to their respective field(s) of science must meet internationally accepted standards of excellence.

2. They must be elected members of the national science academy in the country where they have been working and living for the past ten years, regardless of their nationality or citizenship.

3. They must not yet have completed their 70th year of age on 31 December of the year of nomination.

4. Candidates working and living in a developed country must, in addition, have distinguished themselves in efforts to promote science in developing countries. Their contributions in these efforts must be clearly specified in the nomination form.

3. Candidates for TWAS Prizes cannot simultaneously be nominated for election as TWAS Fellows, and vice versa.

4. The nomination form is to be completed in all its parts; the only attachment required (and allowed) is the candidate's complete list of publications.

5. The completed form, including the candidate's full list of publications, should be sent by e-mail to EDoffice@twas.org.

6. Nominators must request the candidate to authorize TWAS to process his/her personal data for the purposes of the nomination in conformity with data protection requirements within the European Union. Without such an authorization TWAS will not be able to process the nomination.

7. The deadline for receipt of nominations is 31 March 2017. The same deadline applies for the receipt of the candidates' authorizations to process their personal data. Completed nominations received after this date will be considered in 2018. For enquiries, please contact EDoffice@twas.org.

1. Save the completed form under the candidate's name (in the format SURNAME_Name.doc, for instance: PALIS_Jacob.doc) and send it – together with the candidate's full list of publications – by e-mail to EDoffice@twas.org;

2. Scan this page – with the signatures of both nominators – and e-mail the resulting file to EDoffice@twas.org or
fax it to +39 040 2240-7327 or +39 040 224559.

3. Ask the candidate to send by e-mail the following authorization to EDoffice@twas.org: "In conformity with Article 13 of the Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, I herewith authorize TWAS to process my personal data for the purposes of my nomination as a candidate for election into TWAS membership."
