Call for Applications: India Science and Research Fellowship (ISRF) Programme 2025–26

Mar 27, 2026

The India Science and Research Fellowship (ISRF) Programme 2025–26, funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, is now open for applications from 31 December 2025 to 31 March 2026. The programme is being implemented by the Indian National Science Academy on behalf of DST.

The ISRF Programme aims to facilitate short-term research visits (3–6 months) for researchers from neighboring countries—Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand—to Indian institutions. These visits are intended to promote research in frontier and advanced areas of science, including medicine and agriculture.

INSA invites Fellows of the Academy and the broader scientific community to actively contribute to the programme by:

·Hosting researchers in their laboratories and institutions for collaborative research;

·Disseminating this opportunity among international collaborators and networks in the eligible countries;

·Encouraging qualified researchers to apply and undertake research under their mentorship.

The ISRF Programme represents an important initiative to strengthen regional scientific collaboration, enhance research capacity, and foster long-term partnerships across neighboring countries.
