Call for Partnership and Promotion: Asian Hackathon for Green Future 2026

The VinFuture Foundation is committed to honoring and supporting transformative scientific and technological innovations that create meaningful and lasting impact for humanity, particularly in addressing global challenges such as climate change, health, and sustainable development.

In alignment with this mission, I am pleased to introduce the Asian Hackathon for Green Future 2026, an initiative jointly organized by three not-for-profit entities within Vingroup: the “For Green Future” Foundation, VinUniversity, and VinTechTalent.

This regional initiative aims to convene outstanding undergraduate and master’s students from leading universities across Asia to collaboratively develop technology-driven solutions to pressing sustainability challenges.

The program timeline is as follows:

· Registration & Preliminary Round: April 6 – May 17, 2026

· Online Training Round: June 2 – June 28, 2026

· Final Round & On-site Hackathon: July 2 – July 5, 2026 (tentative)

Up to 30 outstanding teams will be selected and fully supported to participate in the on-site hackathon at VinUniversity (Hanoi, Vietnam), where they will receive mentorship from leading experts, present their solutions to an international jury, and engage with peers from across the region.

The competition offers a total prize pool of USD 24,000, including:

· First Prize: USD 8,000

· Second Prize: USD 5,000

· Two Third Prizes: USD 3,000 each

· Five Consolation Prizes: USD 1,000 each

Serving as Chair of the Judging Panel is Prof. Duong Nguyen Vu, Vice Provost for Graduate Education at VinUniversity and Chief Scientific Officer at the Center for AI Research. He previously served as Professor of Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, until July 2025.
